Beauty favorites #01

Here's the five beauty products I've been loving the most during this sunny time of the year in France ! And, of course, it involves sunscreen.

☞ Anthelios sunscreen - La Roche Posay 

FINALLY ! I DID FIND THE ONE !
If you've been struggling to find the right sunscreen, you know how hard it is to find THE ONE you'll want to apply on your skin for the rest of your life. Decided to commit myself to applying sunscreen daily, but it was definitely complicated at first because I couldn't find the right product, so let me tell you why I adore this one and why it made it ten times easier to apply sunscreen every morning.

The texture is very lightweight and transparent. It comes in a very liquid form which is easy to apply. It doesn't streak and exists in tinted versions. The thing I love the most about it is that it has a very thin texture, which you can't feel on your skin after being applied. Also, it has a semi matte finish which is like perfect : too glowy looks meh and sunscreen-y, but too matte makes my skin looks dull and cakey. It gives the perfect amount of glow without enhancing imperfections, which tends to happen with the usual greasy sunscreens.
The only thing I like a little bit less about this one is that when you apply it, it feels slightly "abrasive" ; it doesn't glide on the skin like a moisturizer and feels less soft. This feeling only happens when you're applying it so it's worth those 10 seconds of very slight discomfort.

Got lucky to have this one gifted to me by the brand. I wonder if I would have eventually tried it otherwise ; I used to buy 10€ ones from L'Oréal or any drugstore-available brand.
I know it has won many beauty distinctions, and understand why : I think it's simply the best on the market. The jet black, texture free, waterproof ink doesn't crease, the tip is very flexible and made out of hairs (vegan ones), which definitely helps drawing the perfect line.
I love to do some tight lining (putting eyeliner only at the roots of the upper eyelashes in a very very thin line, to make them look fuller), but it's not always possible to do it with other eyeliners. They're just not as precise and therefore it makes it hard to achieve the desired look when it comes to tight lining.

☞ Alpha lipoic acid - The Ordinary 

I used to like applying lactic acid (the 10% one from the Ordinary) at night for a brighter complexion, but this stuff is equally good ! It works differently than lactic acid, if I remember well, alpha lipoic acid works on -you guess it- lipids (i.e. oils), therefore it has a different action on the skin because it acts on different compounds.
Anyway, this stuff is VERY potent, I usually don't use it overnight but more like a face mask for 20 minutes to an hour. Never mix it with a watery product (moisturizer, serum) : it will burn the hell out of your skin.
I find it very efficient on improving textural irregularities, fading thin wrinkles and brightening the complexion.

☞ 'Lamé gold' nail polish - Mavala

This nail polish has been my go-to on my feet for more than 2 months. The iridescent desaturated gold makes your pedicure look very fancy. It looks even more amazing when tanned ! Since it's not a flashy color, you can afford to not touch it up right away when it starts to get chipped because it's not obvious/disturbing.
Also, it lasts for a week to ten days on my nails. Not bad uh ?

☞ Super lustrous lipstick 'Coral berry' - Revlon

Was looking for a peachy/coral shade for summer and picked this one pretty randomly I must say, and found the color to be absolutely perfect ! It has a satin finish, feels very comfortable and gives a summer vibe to any make up. The color is so bright and flashy without being tacky, making it my feel-good lipstick of choice for this summer.
